Sabrina Reeves is a writer, actor, director, producer and photographer from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She contracted RLP’s filmmaker, Paolo, to produce the projection content for her one woman show, Blindsided. The concept for the projection work leaned towards cinematic imageries, which Paolo found refreshing versus the usual projection designs that heavily employed geometric shapes, wire-framed object, and many technical visual-artifice. In contrast, the projections for Blindsided was full of emotional and nostalgic imagery which tugged at the heartstrings—totally up Paolo’s alley.
Blindsided was presented at SummerWorks in Toronto and La Chapelle Scenes Contemporaines in Montreal.
The video installation was developed, programmed and executed by Lucie Belanger.
Below are a few BTS and frame grabs from the film.
