Below are three video projection concepts that Paolo designed but did not get the chance to be realized for the theatre.
In late 2017-2018, RLP’s co-founder and filmmaker, Paolo, relocated to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to work as the head of the video and 3D projection mapping department for the Naba Theatre. Upon arrival, the theatre was still in the process of construction—the days that lead to the department set-up were long and arduous , the navigation through all the technical nitty-gritty of the job was very complicated, and the daily operation was met with a plethora of road blocks that Paolo had to circumnavigate. Finally towards the end of his time there, Paolo had the opportunity to also put on his creative/designer hat and play with the system. The result was a conglomeration of electrifying scenery that transported the audiences into a spectacular world.
At his disposal, Paolo had 14 Barco laser phosphor projectors, Hippotizer/Zookeeper system running on 3 Karst+ servers, Barco E2 Presentation switcher and screen management, EC-210 Event Controller board, and a 30 foot LED wall.
